Miley Jab Hum Tum is set in Excel College. This college has its own heartthrobs - Mayank and Samrat. They are complete opposites of each other. As their characters are explored, they seem to have more in common than they knew. For instance, both of them are scared of love but being so different they always come together to solve each other's love problems.
Samrat has many friends, but his best friend is Benji. Benji is Samrat’s partner in crime. Later in the episodes, Gunjan, a sweet and innocent girl who comes from Morena, becomes his best friend. One of his other friends is Dia. She is a cheerleader and has two followers, Annie and Chakko. Dia also has an incredibly stupid brother, Uday. He is also Dia’s piñata. They’re all good friends and hang out together a lot. Dia also has two cousins who previously lived in a small town called Morena but moved to Dia’s place in Mumbai to continue their studies at Excel - Gunjan and her elder sister Nupur. Mayank is a very private person but CJ the tomboy of the college is his closest friend. Later Nupur and Mayank become best friends and as the story continues they both begin to fall in love with each other. Gunjan is shy whereas Samrat is very active and lively. They become best friends and eventually fall in love with each other. Its Theme is OPPOSITES ATTRACT EACH OTHER
Mayank Sharma (Arjun Bijlani)
Mayank is the intelligent hero of the college - a focused academic. He is not one to be called a nerd, and is the smartest guy of the college. He is one of Samrat's good friends. Nupur calls him 'Monkey Mayank' where as his mother calls him 'Mayu'. He always likes completing difficult tasks. Girls are crazy about him. He eventually falls in love with her and after disclosing his felling he start dating nupur
Nupur Bhushan (Rati Pandey) Nupur is full of life and very outgoing. From the beginning she has confused feelings abount Mayank. She is trying to figure Mayank out and also wants to be his best friend. She soon realizes that her true feelings for Mayank is that she loves him. Nupur loves and cares for her younger sister Gunjan more than anything.
Gunjan Bhushan (Sanaya Irani)
She is like a still lake - shy and reclusive. She is Nupur's sister and Dia and Uday's cousin.She falls in love with samrat on 'ROSE DAY' celebrated in the college. Later she realises that Samrat doesn't have any feelings of love about her. She is a great character indeed. She helps Samrat all the time
Samrat Shergill (Mohit Sehgal)
He is an egoistic basketball star who has won many trophies for his college, and takes pride in everything he does. Though he hangs out with Dia, his relationship with her isn't a committed one. He likes hanging around with Dia, but it is from Dia's perspective a relationship that is meant to happen. Later he becomes best friends with Gunjan - Dia's shy and innocent cousin. He is currently dating Sheena, however his friendship with Gunjan is increasing day by day and he finds it difficult to remain away from her. Sheena doesn't like this and wants Samrat to stay away from Gunjan. Samrat on the other hand feels reluctant to move away from Gunjan. After exactly one month of seeing each other, Samrat breaks up with Sheena because she accuses Gunjan of pushing her in the pool (something Gunjan has not done). Sheena's true colors are finally revealed to Samrat.
Dia Bhushan (Navina Bole) Dia can be described as a high-class girl and she bosses her brother Uday around. She turns out to be not so bad. She had a feeling of jealousy of the two sisters- Gunjan and Nupur, in the earlier episodes, but later befriends them gradually. She believed earlier that she is the one and only popular girl in Excel. She gets smitten by Rannvijay, the new boy who joins the college, without realizing his evil intentions. She is very loyal to Samrat.
Uday Bhushan (Jas Karan Singh)
He can put up a front of being a bully but this can at a later stage be shattered bit by bit by Nupur and Gunjan. He used to make fun of Gunjan and Nupur along with Dia and everybody else but later he starts liking his new cousins. Amidst all the emotional scenes, Uday is the character who brings life to his near and dear ones. He had developed a liking for his class mate C.J. but now is after his new dramatics teacher Miss Tamanna, whom he invariably calls Tam ma'am (in public) or Tammy instead of Ma'am. He grows really sad after Tamanna leaves the college.
Benji (Abhishek Sharma)
Samrat’s best friend. His name is Benjamin but everyone calls him Benji. He helps Samrat in whatever he says, and he is nice at heart. He doesn't like Dia & her followers but remains friendly with them just for Samrat. He also calls Gunjan his best friend and always supports Samrat.Benji behaves friendly in all.
Supporting characters
Sheena Malhotra (Preeti Keswani)
Latest entry in Excel College. She is a modern, fashionable girl who grabs everyone's attention. From the outset it seems she carries around attitude, but is later revealed she is good at heart and finally revealed that she has an evil side when she got jealous of Gunjan. She is an actor who will take part in a play the college is preparing for. She plays the love interest of Samrat. Her entry will have an effect on all the main characters in the show.
Ranvijay Rathore (Rahul Arora)
New entry in Excel who becomes a competition for Samrat and Mayank. Having lots of attitude he challenges Samrat in almost everything and tries to impress Dia. He is a guy with evil intentions. He dates Dia with the intention of humiliating her as she had slapped him once. He is a great samrat's enemy.
Tamanna Seth (Kishwer Merchant)
Tamanna is a new drama teacher. Uday falls in love with Tamanna.
CJ (Chitra Jain)
Mayank's & Nupur's friend & classmate. the Tomboy of the college, who is in a constant war with Dia and is a best friend of Mayank. Uday used to like CJ, but she kept putting him off by saying that they were just friends. She still saved him from losing a bet with Dia when she turned up to be his Valentine partner
