Dill Mill Gayye

Dill Mill Gayye (also known as DMG) is an Indian television series that airs on STAR One from Monday - Friday at 8:30PM IST. It is the sequel of the television series Sanjivani, which aired on STAR Plus channel. The show aimed at urban educated youth. Set in the backdrop of Sanjeevani hospital, it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the inter personal relationships and humour in the lives of young doctors.

Main characters

Dr. Shashank Gupta (Mohnish Behl) - One of the characters to return from the prequel Sanjivani . He is head of Sanjeevani Hospital and father of Riddhima and Anjali.

Dr. Riddhima Gupta (Shilpa Anand) Replaced by (Jennifer Winget)- a 21 year old who is a shy and quiet person. She tends to be bossed around by her older sister and never says no to anything her sister says. She falls in love with Armaan, who before was her enemy, since their personalities clashed.

Dr. Armaan Mallik (Karan Singh Grover) - 22 year old Armaan represents the new age man; one who is self confident, efficient, cheeky and occasionally even smug. His personality changes from this to kind, caring, and loyal after he falls in love with Riddhima. He has recently lost his memory, indefinitely, of the past two years and has no memory of his relationship with Riddhima.

Dr. Anjali Gupta (Sunaina Gulia) - Anjali is at 22, she's Shashank's older daughter and is used to having her way. Extremely beautiful, she is quiet conscious of her looks, and her mind works more as a money making, selfish business woman than a kind, lovable and caring doctor (like Riddhima).

Dr. Atul Joshi (Pankit Thakker) - Atul is the best guy friend a girl can ever have, without ever making him a real boyfriend. He loves songs and is affectionate towards plants. He later falls in love with Anjali.

Dr. Sapna Shah (Muskaan Mehani) - A Gujrati girl, whose mother is determined to get Sapna married and settled. She left the show in late January, 2008.

Dr. Rahul Garewal (Mayank Anand) - He is a smart, once nerdy doctor. He joined the show later on and quite simultaneously with Muskaan. He was in Armaan's college, and was bullied by him. He and Muskaan love each other. He decides to leave Sanjeevani and break up with Muskaan because he cannot become a father.
Dr. Muskaan Chadda (Drashti Dhami) - Muskaan is a typical, Punjabi chatter box which is very entertaining. She is in love with Rahul.

Dr. Nikita Malhotra (Shweta Gulati) - Nikita is the new intern in Sanjeevani. She is Armaan's best friends from college. She is in love with Abhimanyu.

Dr. Abhimanyu Modi (Amit Tandon) - Dr. Abhimanyu Modi is the new COS of Sanjeevani. He is strict. He is in love with Nikita. Abhimanyu has a past where he is married and his wife left him to die after his accident

Plot

Dill Mill Gaye started out with having just 5 interns Armaan,Ridhima,Atul,Anjali,and Sapna.But later Sapna got married and left Sanjeevani, and 2 new interns had just started Rahul and Muskaan. Then in October 2008 another intern Dr.Nikita came and in November 2008 they introduced Dr.Modi who took over Sanjeevani.There are currently only 6 interns in the hospital because Rahul left the hospital but he is still in the show. The couples are.. Armaan and Ridhima, Abhi and Nikki, Atul and Anjali, Rahul and Muskaan, Shashank and Padma, Keerti and Shubhanker.
