The story unwinds with the marriage plans of the bubbly Khanak with her childhood lover Suraj, who works at the new factory that is to come up in the village of Dhulwadi in Bhuj, Gujarat. Shantanu, the son of the factory owner Mr. Khandelwal, is an urban-bred, spoilt brat. Shantanu was sent to Dhulwadi to look after the factory’s inauguration, in spite of his not being too keen on it. He was also amidst preparations for his marriage to girlfriend Natasha. His visit to Dhulwadi rolls off a series of incidents that change the lives of Khanak, Suraj, Shantanu and Natasha like they had never imagined.
